The pretty yellow plumeria is always a treat to see. It is all around the swimming pool. And one of the best things about them is that they smell so nice and sweet.
I love these delicate orchids. You can see the pistols with the pollen on the ends if you look closely. These line the sidewalks around the swimming pool. They are lovely.
Certainly it would not be a complete picture without the pink plumerias and that is what we have here. They are only in one place and that is in a garden that is almost under the hotel or at least in the middle.
The lobby and meeting rooms are on the third floor and this in below it. It is lovely to look at. I have not seen anyone walking in it so I am not sure if it is just for looks or what. It is right in the middle so everywhere you go you walk around it. I have enjoyed it so much.
Love to read your blog. I saved the orchid picture. If you don't mind, it will be part of my botany unit in the spring!
ReplyDeletePerfect. I should send other strange looking orchids. They abound!
ReplyDeleteAny flowers where the anthers, stamens, pistils, etc. are visible are great. The kids absolutely freak out at the concept of sexual reproduction in plants. I'm always looking for things like this. Helps them "get the picture."
