I must say, it is nice to be back with my companion again in Takapuna, New Zealand. I arrived on Wednesday morning after flying what seemed to me to be over a day. I left LAX on Monday and arrived Wednesday so maybe it was all day. I landed and went through immigration, baggage claim, customs and was home within one hour and 12 minutes. It is a 35 minute drive from the airport to home so I really breezed through all that other stuff. My plane was about 45 minutes early which I think put me ahead of all of the other flights that were coming in from wherever. It was nice to get home, see my companion and have a nice hot shower before going to work for the day. I will admit, I was pretty tired. I was working on a power point for a project and I kept falling asleep between slides. Yesterday was better and today seems even better so maybe I will be ok by the weekend.
Maybe the biggest news since I left the US of A is the eruptions of Mount Tongariro on Monday New Zealand time. It seems to still be rumbling and may even have more activity. It is close to where they filmed the Lord of the Rings series. It has been quiet for over 100 years and gave no warnings that it was upset. There was another one, maybe Mt White that was rumbling as well. I do not think they are any big deal but if you google it and go to images there are some great pictures of it erupting and of the ash that it left behind....on cars, roads, sheep etc.
