Minus one and counting!

When President Monson made the annoucement three weeks ago about the age change for missionaires there was no way in knowing what would happen in the wards and stake throughout the church.  Elder Holland has stated since then that we have grossly under estimated how many young men would sign up.  And that does not count how many young women it would be.  We were told that there are no appointments at BYU Health center for physicals because the slots are all taken!  And with the increase in elders of course there is a greater increase in the sister. And there are more seniors asking "How can I be part."  We attended a meeting in the our stake last night for those 55 and over to talk about missionaires.  Our thought afterwards was that all couples should have been invited so they could start planning when they are younger as well.  Maybe it would be easier for parents to leave children if they had been planning it and talking about it in FHE just like the kids do.  Maybe someone needs to write a new song like I hope they call me on a mission for seniors.
