Last night when we were walking I was amazed at how wide the beaches were. The last time we were there the beach was very narrow and there were places where we could not walk because of the water. Then today we went at lunch and strolled down the same place and the beach is very narrow and the water very high. So I checked out the tides on google. I have a link here for the tidespy of Takapuna Beach. It is amazing. There is only 6 hours between high and low tide and there is a difference of over 3 meters between the two. That is about 10 feet. I did not have the camera and since I did not have photos that I took just to show. I would have needed a specific photo to show what I meant. Hopefully you will enjoy looking at this chart. Interesting stuff. I am getting sooooo educated!
